Please Help

It’s that time of year again when we are able to do a full day of meditation practice in two yards at Donovan Penitentiary.  We are offering meditation in 2 of the 5 facilities at Donovan twice a month.  In the Spring we will also celebrate Buddha’s Birthday in each facility with a day of practice and a special meal. This is a wonderful opportunity for the men incarcerated at Donovan to have a full day of practice and it is also a great treat for them to get a catered meal. Go here to donate.

$1500 for Buddha's Birthday

The meal of Thai vegetarian food is prepared for us at a discount so meals for 40 people costs $500.  The birthday cake is donated as is all of the time that the volunteers give.  We will need about $1500 to cover the cost of the meals as well as the incidentals such as coffee service, paper plates etc.
